In the city every day there are people that come and go not knowing a single person by their name, face, or that they even exist. Our city’s have become machines with the people as the dark black oil keeping them going. I cannot say for certain that this is true that the city’s have created a new society today that isolates itself from the rest of the world, but has cause for concern. These high rise building growing more massive everyday making the average person feel less welcome and more inferior as the machine grows. Its beauty at night, with the lights shining out is a cover for its cold and dark interior. A place were everything is run to a specific time or schedule. As people fuel the machine so that it pumps out decay, never finding that balance to what was once civilization. It decay’s everything around it and beats daily. Our lives are always going to be apart of the giant and we will then because of it become the giant itself one day.
This piece I wrote a long time ago, but every time that I do read over it kind of gets me motivated to break free. I'm not talking suburbs either, I'm talking about that great outdoor freedom people once saw before civilization hit.
